We live in a large (135 m², approximately 1452 square feet) typical Parisian apartment with hardwood floors, high ornamented ceiling and no less than 5 fireplaces !
It features a connecting dining room (a Knoll marble table for 8) and living room. In the living room there’s a Pioneer 50 inch plasma flat screen TV, with a 5+1 speakers sound system (we have cable HD TV and a lot of DVD’s and Blu-rays). There’s also a Sony 40 inch LCD flat screen TV in one of the bedroom with a BR/DVD player, a Wii and a PS3.
We also have a state of the art kitchen (with a dishwasher, microwave oven, electric oven&gas cooker, fridge/freezer, kitchenaid appliances…) with a bar dining area for 4.
There are three bedrooms: one master bedroom (with a king sized bed), one smaller bedroom (with a single bed that can ban extented for 2 people) and one fair sized bedroom (with a double queen bed).
There are two bathrooms with bathtubs, and you’ll find in the smaller one the washing machine and a laundry drying machine. There are two separate toilets (i.e. not inside the bathrooms) with one washbasin each.
The appartment is situated on the second floor (there is a lift), every room has at least a window (including bathrooms) and the view is entirely on the courtyard (see photographs).

Nous vivons dans un grand appartement haussmannien (135 m²) avec parquet, moulures et pas moins de 5 cheminées.
La salle à manger (avec une table Knoll en marbre pour 8 personnes) est attenante au salon où se trouve une télé Pioneer plasma à écran plat de 127 cm avec un home cinéma de 5+1 enceintes. Nous sommes abonnés à Canal+/Canal Sat et il y a plein de DVD et de blu ray. Il y a également un écran plat Sony LCD de 102 cm dans l’une des chambres avec un lecteur de BR/DVD, une console PS3 et une console Wii.
Dans la cuisine il y a un lave-vaisselle, un four micro-onde, une cuisinière à gaz avec un four électrique, un frigo/congélateur, des robots kitchenaid,…). On y mange sur un bar prévu pour 4 personnes.
Il y a trois chambres : la première avec un lit king size, la seconde, plus petite avec un lit pour une personne (extensible pour deux) et enfin la troisième, plus grande, avec un lit queen size pour deux personnes.
Il y a deux salles de bain avec baignoire, dans la plus petite se trouve le lave-linge et le sèche-linge. Enfin, il y a deux toilettes avec dans chacune d’entre elles un lavabo.
L'appartement est situé au second étage (il y a un ascenseur), toutes les pièces ont au moins une fenêtre (même les salles de bain) et la vue est entièrement sur la cours (voir photos).

The apartment is located in the 16th arrondissement, which is central and in a very exclusive neighborhood.
We live within walking distance of the Trocadero (the nearest tube stations are Passy, Trocadero and La Muette) and you have just to cross the bridge to visit the Eiffel Tower.
Our apartment is very convenient to explore the city. You can walk to some museums such as “La cite du patrimoine” (in the Trocadero) or “Le musée de Marmottant” (in the Ranelagh garden). You can also hop on a bus and go without changing line to the Louvre Museum, the Fashion Museum, or the Champs Elysées… It is also direct by tube to the “grands magasins” (Galeries Lafayette, Le Printemps).
You can walk to the shops (for groceries there are supermarket, exclusive deli stores), restaurants, and there is also nearby shopping mall and exclusive designers stores.
Finally, we are quite near the “bois de Boulogne” where we sometime go cycling and roller-skating on week-ends.

L’appartement est situé dans le 16ème arrondissement, un quartier à la foi central et cossu.
De l’appartement (les stations de métro les plus proches sont Passy, Trocadéro et La Muette) on peut aller à pied au Trocadéro et de là, il n’y a plus qu’à traverser la Seine pour visiter la Tour Eiffel.
Il est idéalement situé pour visiter la ville. On peut se rendre à pied dans des musées comme « La cité du patrimoine » (au Trocadéro) ou encore le “Le musée de Marmottant” (dans les jardins du Ranelagh). Il suffit également d’emprunter un bus pour aller sans changement au Musée du Louvre à celui de la Mode ou sur les Champs Elysées. En métro, nous sommes sur la ligne qui dessert directement les grands magasins du boulevard Haussman (Galeries Lafayette, Le Printemps).
Pour les courses, tout peut se faire à pied car il y a à proximité des supérettes (G20, Franprix) supermarchés (Monoprix, Inno Passy) ou des traiteurs (Hediard, Lenôtre,..), un marché couvert, des restaurants, des magasins de mode (y compris le centre commercial Passy Plaza).
Enfin, nous sommes assez proches du bois de Boulogne où nous allons faire du vélo et du roller le week-end.

We have two cats (see pictures) that you'll have to keep while you're visiting us. Of course we will be happy to do the same for your pets while we exchange.
However, if you can't take care of the cats we can arrange for them to be taken away during your stay.

We are tied to school holidays.

- For the 2013 summer holidays we'd like to exchange for 4 weeks (to choose between mid-july and end of august 2013) in a seaside resort, ideally within walking distance of the beach or in a house with a swimming pool ...

We are a family of four. I’m Carine, a university teacher, my husband Jean-Serge is a civil servant and we have two children : 14 year old Hadrien and 12 year old Camille. We live with two cats that we’d like to leave to your care while we’re exchanging home. Our mother tongue is French, we speak a reasonably fluent English and I understand a little bit of Italian. My husband speaks also German.
En français:
Nous sommes 4 : je suis Carine, enseignante à l'université, mon mari Jean-Serge travaille dans un ministère. Nous avons deux enfants : Hadrien 14 ans et Camille 12 ans. Nous vivons avec deux chats que nous vous laisserons pendant l’échange d’appartement. Notre langue maternelle est le français, nous parlons à peu près couramment l’anglais et je comprends un peu l’italien. Mon mari parle aussi l'allemand.
