Great views, great location, in a historic art deco building from 1930. The studio is 520 sq. ft., decorated simply with lots of open space. Colors are lively; I feel great whenever I walk in. On the 16th floor is a roof garden for fresh air, sun-bathing ... and even better views. The 24 hr. door person is a real plus. Parking is always a problem in SF ... and this place has no parking with it ... although parking garages are quite close.

My favorite location in SF --- within 8 bocks are city hall, library, SF's three main live theaters, two multi-screen movie theaters, union square and nice shopping, chinatown, powell stree cable car to fishermen's wharf, opera house, symphony hall, asian art museum, galleries, Grace cathedral (Episcopal), St. Mary's cathedral (Roman Catholic), hyatt hotel and many others, tons of restaurants. Also very near: transportation to ferry building, golden gate park and museums, castro district and other wonderful sites. The neighborhood itself is called "Tendernob," as it is on the boundary of Nob Hill (upper crust) and the Tenderloin (edgy, street people). It can be noisy at night, and colorful people abound ... but I have never experienced any difficulties walking anywhere day or night.

I am a Catholic priest who bought this place as my future home when I retire (two years) and try to write. I come here on my day off ... and sometimes on vacation ... to write, read, rest, and enjoy wonderful SF. I love sharing the place with family and friends.
