Nuestra casa
Our house is a lovely refurbished 17th century estate, in the middle of a rather wild, huge garden located in the centre of a quiet village officially labelled 'de charme" - brimming with vintage houses. It is actually made of 3 buildings and comprises 7 main very spacious rooms. We have several small froggy ponds in the garden, which, although not deep, might require a constant watch on young children.
Nuestro barrio
We are located in a small village by the Loire river. The architectural and natural surroundings are particularly rich and well preserved. There's plenty of great hiking and biking to be done here, as well as canoeing in the nearby rivers. Vineyards abound in the area, if you are interested in visiting cellars and tasting great wine. Our place is a 30-minute ride from Angers and Saumur (with typical restaurants or "guinguettes" all over the place, museums, and most of the greatest Loire Valley chateaux within short travelling distance (1 to 2 hours by car). The Atlantic Ocean is a 2-hour trip by car, Paris is a 1.30-hour trip by train.

Nosotros
We are a family of five. Alain is currently doing renovation work. Annie is a high-school teacher. Etienne is 19, Luce is 17 and Anouk is 15. Our 3 cats are free to go in and out as they wish. They need a reasonable amount of stroking and flattery. We bought the house 10 years ago and have been refurbishing one room after another. We all love music and play a little. We are fond of books and films. The girls enjoy acting in their drama club. Our son is totally into fishing and mountain biking.
