Our home is a 2011 custom built 3000 sq ft, (or 300 sqm), house with a large rear yard and double garage, within walking distance along the valley trail system to the village centre and lifts. Fully furnished to a high standard with entertaining a crowd in mind. Whistler has so much to offer - whether you are looking for a summer outdoor active adventure holiday (golf, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, swimming, plus more), or a winter ski fest with the comfort of relaxing at home afterwards in front of the fireplace.

Our house can accommodate 8 people in comfortable space across 3 levels. The top floor contains the 4 bedrooms with picturesque views to Blackcomb/Whistler mountains, and each with their own toilet and shower facilities - great for several couples travelling together or accommodating extended families all together.
- The Master room has King size bed, a large walkin closet, separate toilet and a double shower
- Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a queen size bed with built in closet and own toilet & shower
- Bed 4 has a queen size bed, sofa chair, large balcony, and own bathroom with bath and toilet.
We also have a baby cot and other baby facilities available for those travelling with younger tots which would fit in any of the bedrooms.

On the entry level (level 2) is the main living space with lots of natural light flowing through the picturesque windows. This floor has a large custom kitchen with breakfast island, all stainless steel appliances, and granite benchtops - designed with entertaining in mind. The open plan dining room has a table with 8 chairs. The adjoining Living room has a beautiful stone fireplace with comfortable sofas to laze, sunny custom designed window seats to enjoy the views to Blackcomb mountain, cable tv/stereo, and adjoining to a large south facing entertaining deck. There is also a study room with large desk with a smaller deck overlooking the back yard. This level also has the mud room, accessed through the double garage, to store boots, skis etc, with a separate toilet/powder room.

The ground floor has a gym, wonderfully relaxing steam room and hot tub for soothing those muscles after a strenuous day, extra toilet/powder room and large recreation/kids play room with stone fireplace, pool table, table football, comfy sofas & tv/projector.

Additional features:
- fireplaces are connected to the aircon system to bring fresh air into the house whilst keeping inside at a very comfortable temperature
- bathrooms/powder rooms all with under floor heating

- lots of board games for adults & toys for kids

- A short 10mins walk to the village & lifts, 5 minutes to lost lake and the valley trail, 10mins to Nesters supermarket, and much more.

(NB: Sometimes we may need to have the basement for personal use, so the house for exchange may be the main 2 levels - i.e. living and bedroom levels - approx 2500 sq ft, still plenty of space for large families. This would mean the hot tub and steam room are available for sharing during that time. We will agree before the exchange if this is needed)

If the Northern Hemisphere is not your style, how about Summer in Australia? As an alternative, we have a 2bedroom, 2 bathroom condo on Coolangatta Beach, on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It is a holiday home so available year round for swaps. Accommodates 2 adults in Master bedroom with ensuite (Queen bed) and 2 children in 2nd smallish bedroom (2 single beds), with facilities including onsite management/reception, pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts. Ocean views from master bedroom and living rooms. It is directly opposite one of the best surf beaches in Australia where the Quicksilver Pro is held each year. Our Apartment is located in the heart of Coolangatta, with lovely beach front cafes, restaurants, shops & cinemas all at your doorstep.

Located in the residential suburb of White Gold, the closest suburb to Whistler Village along the valley trail system. A short walk to the village, supermarkets, ski lifts, lakes, cross country skiing. We are also a short drive or cycle to the various championship golf courses & leisure centre with squash tennis etc, or if you wish to go further afield to Squamish for mountain hiking, fishing, kite surfing, and much more.

We are keen to do a non-simultaneous exchange in March/April 2012 in Hawaii, then May/June 2012 in Vancouver.
Our house is only available after Winter 2012/2013, so hoping a non simultaneous exchange might work for someone with a similar sized home.......

Hawaii as we would like to spend a month on the beach, 2 weeks in Oahu - walking distance/nearby to Waikiki, and 2 weeks on Maui.

In Vancouver, we would like to spend 1-2 months downtown in a large condo or similar.

We are a professional couple, David 41 and Toni 39 with a 1 year old boy Cooper, who thoroughly enjoy all that the Whistler lifestyle has to offer. We have both enjoyed travelling extensively to experience new places and cultures, having been lucky enough to live in many cities around the world as a result of our careers taking us abroad over the last 10 years (Sydney, Cape Town, Athens, Brussels & Amsterdam).

Toni is originally from Sydney, Australia, and David from Montreal, both enjoy an active lifestyle - hiking, cycling, skiing, beach/surf - and experiencing good food and wine from around the world with our extended family and friends. We would like to raise Cooper to also have a worldly perspective on life, and to experience various cultures, which is one of the many reasons we have joined homeexchange. So far, we have only done 1 exchange - which was very successful - and would like to do many more.
