The bay of Marbella in southern Spain is in a high-end residential area which takes in many, very large celebrity homes, including those of Antonia Banderas and Melanie Griffiths, who live a five minute walk along the beach from our home. Our beach front garden complex has 24 hour security which has 2 swimming pools and beautifully maintained gardens with water features with the Rio Real golf course immediately next door. although very tranquil, we are only three mins by car to the beautiful, authentic Spanish town of Marbella, which, with its lovely cobbled streets is famous for its tapas bars, designer shops, and restaurants. This area has remained unspoilt and retains the original Moorish character. Everyone should spend the day exploring this lovely town. Twenty minutes away you will find the famous marina, Puerto Banus, The marina is a sight to behold as there are many multi million pound boats moored there. Puerto Banus is excellent for window shopping with many designer shops, restuarants and bars in which to indulge your celebrity spotting. Travelling inland around 10 kms will take you to Andalucia with the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains backdrop and white washed Spanish villages, eg Benahavis Ronda, Granada, and Cordoba. Southern Spain is well known for it's all year round sunny climate.

Malcolm and myself, Angela, have owned our Spanish residence for ten years now, We bought the property after Malcolm retired and have spent many happy, relaxing times there. We love exploring new towns and cities, travelling by car to unknown territory which has brought us many surprises in the way of true Spanish culture but we also enjoy the sophisticated, cosmopolitan amenities on our door step. As we are approaching retirement, we love the diversity that Southern Spain has to offer. Malcolm enjoys playing golf in the magnificent golf courses and I enjoy sketching the beautiful sunsets. We also enjoy socialising and meeting up with our friends in the many beach bars and restaurants. We have a son, daughter and grand daughter who love to come and join us as our apartment has lots of space and privacy and we can retire to our attic bedroom with two balconies, and en suite bathroom, which is perfect when we have a full house.
