My home is in University Heights, one of the oldest San Diego neighborhoods, and was built in the Craftsman style that was common in the early 20th century. The house is 990 sqft which is typical for its age and the neighborhood. There are three bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with twin bed, and one used as a library/office) and one full bathroom. Much of the house retains its original charm. The kitchen, however, recently underwent a complete remodel but it was done in the same style as the original kitchen so it still flows with the rest of the house. The fenced backyard has a covered patio and I am beginning to plant trees. The front yard is also undergoing a facelift. New plantings have been added but they haven't yet grown to their full potential. A long driveway can accommodate several cars.

My home is in one of the more walkable neighborhoods in San Diego. A handful of restaurants are within 3 blocks. More restaurants, shops, and a park with a playground and summer concerts are all less than 15 minutes walk. Dog-walkers and joggers can be seen throughout the day. Although stops for 4 bus lines are within 3 blocks of the house, San Diego's attractions are best reached by car. Balboa Park, with its museums, entertainment, and the Zoo, is less than 2 miles away. Downtown is a mere 3 mile trip. There is easy access to several freeways which can get you almost anywhere in 20 minutes or less.
