The apartment is quiet, bright, south facing and comfortably furnished with a combination of traditional and contemporary pieces. It’s fitted with hardwood flooring and marble bathrooms. Comprising of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en-suite. All spacious rooms with 11ft ceilings, integrated air-condition in all rooms, living and dining areas and a fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops, a kitchen bar and a large balcony with a great view of the inner compound park area. The premises has 24hr porterage.

Our full-time driver and maid may also be at your service (part-time).

Beijing is a captivating place to visit. Explore areas such as the twisting Back Lakes, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall at Badaling and Mutianyu, and the Temple of Heaven that provide glimpses into this great civilization's staggering historical wealth.

Our neighborhood is near all the above, with the Great Wall at Mutianyu as the most distant destination, a one hour drive from our home.
Chaoyang is home to the majority of Beijing's many foreign embassies, the well-known Sanlitun shopping and entertainment area, as well as Beijing's growing CBD. The Olympic Park, built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, is also in Chaoyang.
The apartment is located within the Park Avenue residence compound by the south gate of the Chaoyang Park, Beijing’s premier in-city park and the greenest area of Beijing.
Park Avenue is a gated community, children friendly with underground parking and has a dry cleaning service, a Jamaica Blue coffee shop, April Gourmet western convenience store, a state-of-the-art gym with a 25 meter swimming pool, ATM and bank services.

We hope to spend a few weeks in Great Britain, London, Cornwall, Ireland and/or perhaps Scotland.
We are also open to spend time in the mountains, preferably the Alps, the Italian lake district perhaps. We also love visiting France, Provence or somewhere along the coast.

We are an international family of four.
My wife and I are 40 and 45 years of age with two children, a boy (5) and a girl (6). I came to China as a diplomat in 2002 and decided to stay on after meeting my wife during a part-time university program in Shanghai. We make a living supporting Beijing Government organizing international sports event in their Olympic arenas and helping western companies with various activities out here.

We all love the outdoors, walking, skating, swimming, skiing, snowboarding and cycling.
