Our Home is a very comfortable brick house with all modern facilities. It features three double bedrooms, recently renovated bathroom, en suite, and a study. There is a formal dining area, large lounge room and family room. The house has cathedral ceilings throughout keeping it cool and airy in summer, and the slow combustion log fire maintains a cosy atmosphere in winter.

At the rear of the house is a large pergola perfect for outdoor entertaining (with dining table and gas BBQ) whilst the deck out the front is perfect for a cup of coffee whilst looking out over quiet countryside to Cambewarra Mountain. Our garden has two Balinese inspired ponds and many flowers and bushes that are regularly visited by a great variety of colourful birds and frogs.

A detached garage and large rumpus room above can also be used.
Facilities include all modern appliances, dishwasher, microwave, TV, electric oven and cook top, DVD/VCR, internet/Broadband ADSL, air conditioner, and separate laundry. There is an above ground swimming pool in the backyard.

Our home is situated in the quiet rural village called Cambewarra. The village is nestled at the foothills of the Cambewarra Mountain Range, and borders Morton National Park. The quaint villages of Kangaroo Valley and Berry are minutes away. The larger township of Nowra is 10 minutes away, and offers all facilities and two large shopping centres. Local attractions include bushwalking in the nearby National Parks, Nowra Wildlife Park, two swimming pools, water and boating activities, Naval Air Museum, and many adventure activities. The Shoalhaven River flows besides Nowra.

Cambewarra is situated 20 minutes from the local surf beaches of Shoalhaven Heads, Seven Mile Beach, Gerringong and Gerroa, and 30 minutes drive to Culburra Beach and Blenheim Beach.
The famous Booderee National Park and Jervis Bay Marine Park are 40 minutes away, and are the jewels of our region. The many quiet secluded beaches are readily accessible and offer perfect walking, swimming, snorkeling and diving facilities, besides plentiful wildlife viewing. We boast the whitest sands in Australia! The Jervis Bay area has many boutique restaurants, whale watching, dolphin cruises, boating, and exceptional diving in the crystal clear Marine Park.

We are situated 2 hours drive south from Sydney, one hour south of the large city of Wollongong, and two and a half hours drive from Canberra, the Nation’s Capital.

Our area is served by freeways and scenic minor roads (many of which hug the coastline), charter buses and a train service.

Ian is semi retired and teaches part time at the local Primary School. Judy teaches Kindergarten also at the local school. Our son is married and lives in Canberra, and our daughter lives in Sydney.
As a family we have enjoyed three year-long teaching exchanges to Canada and USA. We love visiting other countries and learning about the local cultures. We often travel with my sister and brother in law, who are both retired teachers.
We enjoy swimming and the outdoor life. We also enjoy concerts, theatre and spending time with family and friends.
