Nous avons une maison dans un vieux quartier du centre de Tours. Tout est à proximité et à pied, en 10 minutes, il y a la gare TGV, les Halles et les différents marchés, les magasins. Nous avons 4 chambres doubles :
RDC : une chambre avec SDB (douche et baignoire) avec vue sur le jardin
1er étage : une chambre avec lit double et lit bb et la plus grande chambre avec un lit simple (possibilité de mettre un BZ très confortable dans cette chambre), SDB avec baignoire et table à langer. Les toilettes sont sur l’étage
2ème étage sous pente : un espace avec 2 fauteuils, un vidéoprojecteur branché sur la télé, un ordinateur avec connection internet très haut débit (fibre optique), un lit double futon et un point d’eau avec une douche.
Il y a des jouets et du matériel pour enfants et bébés. Notre maison est vraiment très agréable, elle est très lumineuse l’été mais garde la fraîcheur grâce à la pierre de tuffeau. Nous avons une piscine gonflage pour se rafraîchir l’été pour les enfants. Le jardin est de 80m2 mais parfait pour se détendre. Pour les enfants actifs, il y a un tres joli parc à 2 min a pieds, ou bien le jardin botanique un peu plus loin avec une mini ferme sans compter les bords de Loire pour les plus actifs.


We have a bright 4 bedroom house in an old neighbourhood in Tours city center.

Tours is a nice place to stay and offer great facilities. It is a market town. There are very good restaurants in town.It used to be the capital of France when the kings moved to the Loire River area (XV & XVI). It is full of heritage and is quite central to visit the castles, the vineyards and the Loire River area.

Ground floor: 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (bath and shower) facing the garden (very quiet)
1st floor : 2 double bedroom sharing a bathroom. One room has a double bed, the largest, has a single bed (there is a possibility to put a double bed) and a cot.
1 top floor under the roof with shower and a double futon bed with computer/internet, video projector/TV
Small garden with terrace (so nice and very sunny)

Le quartier est très agréable car il est résidentiel. Tout est à proximité: les Halles et les marchés (Tours est la ville des 30 marchés, les produits sont locaux et d'excellente qualité), la gare. Il y a un très joli parc à proximité.

The neighbourhood is residential, so quite peaceful. The bakery is round the block. Restaurants are within walking distance. Open markets with amazing local fresh food happen every day and are 10 minutes walking distance. The train station is 10 minutes walking distance (Paris is one hour by TGV). There is a beautiful park round the corner.

We are open to suggestions. We are not very good at planning ahead so feel free to suggest exchange as long as it is not overseas.

Exchanges in July is not possible for us as we both work this month. We are more open in August and September.

Nous sommes une famille de 4: Sylvain, 36 ans, responsable marketing, Stéphanie, 36 ans aussi, professeur de français langue étrangère, Marcel, 5 ans et Malo qui a 19 mois.
Nous avons beaucoup voyagé et nous sommes installés à Tours depuis 2010 après avoir passé plus de 4 ans en Angleterre. C’est une très jolie ville qui offre beaucoup de possibilités pour sortir. Elle est au cœur des châteaux de la Loire.
Nous sommes ouverts aux propositions: destinations proches ( en Europe) pour weekends ou vacances scolaires.

Nous adorons sortir et pourrons vous conseiller de bonnes tables ou des endroits sympathiques a visiter (caves, châteaux, lieux de baignade...)

We have travelled quite a lot and we have settled down in Tours last year and we love it. Prior to that, we spent over 4 years in London. We have never done house exchange but we are think this is a good way to travel.

We are open to offers for very close european destinations (weekends and school holidays).
