My apartment is a very atypical one, stylish and luminous in the heart of Strasbourg, the European capital. The loft style apartment is in a calm part of the town, decorated with taste and totally equiped. There are two bedrooms and two terraces, one 360° on the roof with an amazing view! It’s situated beetween two parks and is next to all necessary facilities. The apartment is very comfortable for 3 people, but you can stay up to 4 or even 5.

I live here since 10 years and I absolutely love this appartement. It is so comfortable and lovely. Everybody coming for a visit is saying the same. Even if it is "just" an apartment you feel like having all a house for you, because there is nobody above you, just a huge terrace with this amazing view. On the one side you have an overview over Strasbourg, the cathedral and "Les Vosges", on the other side, so close, there's Germany with the Black Forest.
One thing I prefere to let you know: So it's on the last floor (the 5th), but there is no elevator, like in a lot of old houses here in Strasbourg. Installing an elevator would mean destroying very beautiful Art Nouveau windows form 1930, so nobody of the owners here in this house would go for that. The advantage like I said, you are close to the sky, you are above everybody once you are up here and there is this unique view!

In 15 min. by feet you will be in front of the Strasbourg Cathedral, in just 5 min. either in the big parc "Orangerie" or on the other side in the romantic Botanic Garden. This part of the town is called the "Musicians district" (Quartier des musiciens), it's a bourgeois part of town, most of the houses like mine are from the 1920-1940, with very lovely facades. It's very calm, there is the nicest street market of the town with fresh products twice a week just arround the corner. All sites are easy accesible by feet, bike or bus.

Strasbourg's architecture is amazing, very old churches, first of all the Cathedral (the biggest in all Europe), the famous "Petite France" with the cute little half-timbered houses (look at the pics) but also interesting modern architecture (Museum of Modern Art, European Parliament, Human Rights Building etc.). The cultural program is very rich: opera house, theaters, museums, festivals, castles…

Strasbourg is very well located, you are not far away from so many other interesting european countries and cities: Paris (2 hours by high speed train),
Switzerland: 1 hour from Basel, 2 hours from Zurich;
Germany: 2 hours from Frankfurt, 3 hours from Munich, 1,5 hour from Stuttgart, 1 hour from Fribourg etc.

Nature is just so lovely: You have the choice going hiking either in « Les Vosges » or in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), there are lakes to swim in summer, in winter you can sky or snowshoe in just 40 min. drive from here. If you are a climber, there are a lot of climbing spots around here. I could give you more advice.

I think I don't have to talk about the french food. Everybody knows it's just so delicious. I could give you a lot of good adresses, either in the center or outside in the countryside, in the lovely villages along the wine road ("Route du vin") you really should not miss!

How to arrive at my home?
It's easy to reach by public means: bus (direct bus from central Station, N°2) or tram way. Or by car. Parking is quite easily available without costs.
Nearest airport Strasbourg/Entzheim

Strasbourg is a real bike city. I have 3 bikes, also a big one for men, you could use if needed.

There is free wi-fi access in the apartment (and on the teraces :) ).
