Gramercy is the ultimate residential neighborhood in Manhattan because of its accessibility, world class restaurants, yet it is quiet enough to sleep at night. We are blocks from the Empire State Building, Union Square, Gramercy Park. We can easily walk to Greenwich Village, Chelsea, SoHo, or Times Square (theater district).

We wanted to live in this neighborhood because we love walking its streets. It is the type of neighborhood where you can hang out in a cafe all afternoon, find amazing hidden restaurants tucked away or talk to people in the streets.

After years of high end NYC hotel rentals, I would choose this condo over any hotel. the condo is a brand new, well-built modern unit with gorgeous luxury furnishings, the most amazing TV/sound system I have ever heard, and truly breathtaking views of the city. Just waking up and seeing the view starts the day in the best NYC way. The location is excellent, very close to good restaurants and shopping, with a full size market just across the street. EASY WALK TO SUBWAY STOPS/BUS SERVICE. the unit is very quiet, virtually no street noise. I used the Sofa bed in the guest room, and it was more comfortable than my bed at home. The rooftop area is perfect for entertaining, with a large table and chairs and BBQ, or to just enjoy being outdoors on the lounge chairs. The large gym has new, high quality machines with TV, full mirrors, weight set, yoga mats, fitness balls, etc. The owners are wonderful people, very nice, professional and communicative. I highly recommend this unit and hope it is available the next time I come to NYC.

Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We love home exchange because staying in a home allows us to feel part of the place we are going whereas a hotel leaves us feeling detached.

We don't smoke, don't have children and there are no pets at this property.Also this property is brand new (finished November 2011).
