Our beautiful home is very big and built on a hillside with superb panoramic views looking out to the Coral Sea, Double Island and The Great Barrier Reef. We have 4 bedrooms. A King size bedroom with master ensuite, spa bath and ample stoage.

The style of architecture is very tropical because of weather here can be hot - so we have large open plan living areas and lots of indoor - outdoor seamless integration to enable us to spend a lot of time outdoors.

The neighbourhood of Palm Cove is small and friendly although it does host 7 five start resorts which are highly acclaimed. There are 16 restaurants within 5 minutes drive of our home. We live next door to the Cairns Tropical Zoo. There are several local schools nearby and a good shopping centre with medical and pharmacy services. The beach is very near y and it attracts a lot of tourists during our season ( April - November) but the beach NEVER gets crowded. This part of the world has the perfect combination of all access to all modern facilities and yet it is so beautiful.
The locals choose to live here because it is like living in paradise. The sun shines most days of the year - about 300 out of 365 and it is peaceful, trouble free - no crime and people are very respectful of eachother. We are close to 3 world heritage listed things - Daintree, Cape Tribulation and Great Barrier Reef, but can still have a night out on the town if we wish to in Cairns International standard pier environs.

We wish to do a lonfg ter exchange ( up to one year) in the Aix en Provence, France area for up to one year from September 2013- June 2014 but dates are flexible. We are open to offers from anywhere in the world. We are very well travelled having lived in 4 continents for many years. We also have holiday home nearby in Palm Cove and we can do a non simultaneous exchange.

We are a family of husband and wife with one 14 year old son
Maggie (54) and Damian (44) have recently sold our car rental business in Cairns and are on a long term exchange in France. We are looking for exchanges in Europe during July and August of 2012 . We can do non simultaneous exchanges.
We are very fit and active people,. We love scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef which is very easy from here, riding our bikes down to Palm Cove for breakfast or a 'happy hour' drink. Maggie is a gym junkie and Damian plays soccer for the local team. Louis enjoys riding his longboard along the many kilometres of bike track near the beach in this area. We love dining out at the restaurants in Palm Cove - once you have tried all 16 of them its time to start again! We enjoy outdoor BBQ's at home on our deck or use the free ones on the beacj where we can relax and enjoy the surroundings, there is no need to worry about the teenagers as no ' trouble' around here!
We would love either an exchange in Aix en Provence France, for the school year July 2013- June 2014 OR any other European exchanges during the July - August 2013 school holidays where we can go ski-ing in the winter or to the beach in summer.
We are open to noon simultaneous exchanges of our equally stunning house near the beach of a few weeks at a time for exchanges during 2012. long terr or short term we are flexible and happy to discuss.
