We are looking forward to receive good ideas for our summer-holidays, week 28 and 29 of July 2013. We are also open to suggestions for w. 42/2013.

Our home is in a large, old and cosy house with garden close to the center of Copenhagen.
Our home is furnished typically nordic: light, warm, natural materials and colors and robust furniture.
The kitchen and the living room is in one large, light room where we spend most of our time. The kitchen table allows for 8-10 persons.
There are three different chambers each with their own qualities - one with a french balcony and a full electronic drum-kit and one with a build-in 'hems' (split-level bed).
2. floor is one large, light attic with a balcony - it has a double bed and two workplaces.
There are two bathrooms.
The garden is not large, but it is very green, very private and it has a huge wooden terrace facing south, perfect for spending a warm day with a book under the parasol while the kids are playing, and for enjoying a barbeque-meal in the long light and warm summer-evenings.
We live on 1. and 2. floor in the house that we share with our lovely and very kind neighbors.
Each of us has our own private garden.
We can arrange for a large plastic-pool - 3,5 m diameter - if you wish. It is not a 'real' pool, but has clean and blue water and it has worked really well for our boys during the years.
We can also arrange for an end-cleaning.
Our car is a 10 y old green Berlingo that easily takes 4 kids whereever they want.

Hellerup is a nice and quite neighborhood just north of the center of Copenhagen. It is characterized by well-off villas, a relaxed lifestyle and the proximity to the nice little harbour and local beach - less then 5 min. from our house.
Local shopping and groceries are also less than 5 min walk, and the very efficient public transport system starts less than 4 min walk away at the local train station.
This makes our home the perfect base for visits and day-trips in the area: of course wonderful Copenhagen with all of its top-class food, music events, Tivoli, art-exhibitions, harbour-baths and city-close beaches, The famous ZOO, the Science Experimentarium, lots of new architecture, new and old urban spaces in nice neighborhoods, an overwhelming amount of fancy shopping and nice cafes. But also the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (also great for kids), several theme parks (including safari!) and beaches at Zealand, Odense (app. 1,5 h - Home of H.C. Andersen) and even Malmö/Sweden (less then 45 min) with a new abundance of interesting art-exhibitions, events and shopping.

We are looking for 7-14 days between 7th and 21st of July.

In summer 2013, we are locked to weeks 28 and 29. However, week 28 is also the time of the Copenhagen Jazz-festival!
Our Winter-vacation is in week 7 (Skiing!)
Our Easter vacation is in week 13 (Large European cities)
Our Autumn leave is in week 42 (Large European cities)

During the summer 2013 we would like to go to the Mediterranean Europe - as close to the beach as possible, and preferably also near a large pool. Spain (Ibiza, Mallorca, Alicante, Barcelona) France (Corsica, Nice), Italy (Sardinia, Capri, Amalfi) Greece (Kykladeian islands like Symi, or Kreta or a smaller island), Turkey (Cyprus, Antalya) are interesting destinations for our summer-vacation, as long as it is close to a nice beach and a pool. (We might also be susceptible to offers from USA) In the winter (w. 7 and long weekends) we dream of a hut near a larger ski-ressort - Norway and Sweden are options here, but of course also Italy, Switzerland and France. It could be amazing to swap with someone with a hut in 'Fjellet'!
In the fall (w 42 and perhaps long weekends) and the easter week - w. 14 - we are open to any larger, European city: Berlin, Paris, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Venice, Bologna, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid etc.

We are a family of 5: Two grown-ups: Mads (52) Systems manager in IKEA and Katrine (48) Architect, associate professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (Our home is cosy and robust, not architects-posh!)
Three boys: Otto (17) attends gymnasium, Frantz (14) 7th. grade at a local school, Adrian (14) also 7th. grade, also at a local school. The boys are well-behaved and takes god care of things - both those of others and their own.
Two cats: Olivia and Rita, app. 3 y. They are outdor-cats, very friendly and social. They wont bother you unless you want them to.
We have had two very successful changes last year.
