Lovely renovated 4 bedroom house at a small dike at the waterfront and next to the forest.

Best of both worlds, living at the countryside and easy access to the city centre!

The house is fully renovated and modernized last years with a nice (fenced) terrace at the front and at the waterside.

At the groundfloor we have a spacious livingroom, which has a view at the forest at the front, and a view at the waterfront at the back. We have 2 fire places, one at the sitting area and one at the dining area, good for romantic evenings!

With the double doors at the back you enter the big terrace directly at the waterfront. In the garden we have a large table and chairs for 6 persons and 2 comfortable loungebeds as well.

In the summer you can swim in the river and use our small antique boat to make trips. And do not worry for your kids, as we have 2 little ones ourselves the house and the waterfront is surrounded by a fence so you can sit back and relax, having a BBQ and enjoying the view.

We have 2 bedrooms at the first floor and 1 bedroom and 1 study/questroom at the groundfloor. At this moment we have 2 childrens beds in the bedrooms but its not a problem to arrange extra beds for adults or grown kids.
Our large bathroom with walk-in shower and bath is also at the groundfloor.

The house has a garage for 1 car and a second parkingspot at our property.

From our place you can go easily to the city centre by tram or car or by bike.

The river we live at ends in the Amstel river, so you also can go by boat to the city centre! Or go to beautiful river 't Gein with its windmills, or Weesp a lovely small town at the river Vecht. Please see the pictures for the boat you can use, and for the view at the back and the front of our house.

When you are an experienced sailor you can use the boat to sail. When you are not, we can put off the mast for you and you can use it with the outboard to make trips with your family.

At the front of our house you walk into the forest where you can go horseback riding or play with your children on the different spots created for them.

Enjoy Amsterdam with all her cultural places, restaurants, clubs and canals. There's so much to do in Amsterdam, also for grown kids.

Or explore our neighbourhood by bike and have lunch at the countryside with all her homemade products.

This is also a great place to explore lovely towns like Durgerdam, Muiden, Volendam, Zaansche Schans, Haarlem or the beaches at the Northsea or IJmuiden where they do a lot of kite surfing.

And then after a day full of exiting things take a seat on our lovely terrace enjoy the quietness of our home and look at the boats coming by while having a BBQ or sit at our cosy fireplace.

* Always interested in weekends or short holidays nearby (the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany)

* We like to visit friends in Singapore for a few weeks somewhere between 2014-2015.

We are looking for a 2 or 3 weeks holiday exchange, near the sea or with a pool in july or august. Summer 2013 arranged but open for offers summer 2014.

As we have 2 little ones we are not looking for an apartment unless it has a garden or a big terrace and we are not looking for an exchange in an big city.

Couple with son called Senne and a daughter called Akke (born 2008 & 2011). Bas is working in consultancy and is a talented sailor and a wonderful cook, Cora is a Graphic Designer (and a terrible cook...). We like to travel and we think this is a nice way to do so.
