My home has 3 large Bedrooms and sleeps 5 very comfortably. I will not accept more than 5 people including children on any one exchange. I also have a day be that converts to 2 single beds with 2 good mattresses for young adults or children other than those beds shown in the photos.

Main Bedroom has an en-suite and waterfront views.
2nd Bedroom and 3rd Bedroom share a full Bathroom with a bath and with a separate room for the Toilet . Both of these bedrooms overlook a large swimming pool.

The large 2nd Bedroom has a hidden Kitchenette behind full length Mirror sliding doors which was my teenage sons "get away from Mum" room. Ideal for a Teenager or these 2 Bedrooms make a nice area for another couple when they need to do their own thing. All bedrooms have Flat Screen TV's. 2nd Bedroom also has a fridge.

The open Living Area has large formal and casual spaces with garden, waterfront and skyline views. Kitchen also overlooks these views.

There is also an exterior shower, toilet and basin area to use without coming into the house when needed..

This is a one level very comfortable home with Pontoon really suitable for holidaying. I do not have a boat on exchange.

I am in walking distance to 2 Shopping Malls and 5 mins by car to a 3rd Discount Mall.
Also 10 mins to an Organic Store and another strip shopping, wining and dining center on the waterfront.

I live on the Gold Coast which has the most beautiful beaches and climate in Queensland..

My home has beautiful Water and Skyline Views, it takes me 5 mins to walk to the Broadwater.

I can see the local fish market from my back yard. It is only a 5 mins. walk to this local fresh seafood market.

I am within a walking distance to 2 good Shopping Malls with Supermarkets, Fashion stores etc.. Less than 5 mins by car.

Harbourtown is 5 mins by car west which is the largest Discount Outlet on the Gold Coast used by locals and Tourists alike for everything at a discount. Harbourtown has as well your daily shopping needs a big well priced Fresh Fruit and Vegetable market with unusual Continental Delicatessen items, plus Woolworths Supermarket making it " one stop shopping."

I do not have to go anywhere else other than my local area to buy anything other than major electrical and furniture goods.

Paradise Waters is 7 mins local drive north which has a amongst shops a Health Food store including Organic fruit and Vegetable. The Restaurants and coffee shops cater for outdoor dining with very good prices for lunch and dinner along the strip which faces the park and the waterfront. Inviting afterwards for an after lunch or dinner walk whilst in this nice suburban waterside spot..

The largest Seafood Market Charis on the Coast is a 30 mins walk south or a quick drive. Charis has the added attraction of being able to take out or eat cooked seafood of your choice whilst sitting outside at lunchtime watching the Pelicans come for their daily feed of the best fish pieces!!!!

Whilst the Pelicans are feeding it is great to sit and watch as you eat your Australian Fish and Chips overlooking the beautiful blue water, the swimmers, and the walkers along the waterfront. There's Para Sailing, Jet Ski Hire, Kite Boarding, Kyaking.

This beach here also has a very safe natural swimming pool that is protected and calm with white sand and beautifully clear water that you sometimes can see the smaller fish swimming around. There is a, Lawn area and BBQ's with shelter as well. You can cook your own fish or bring a picnic and have a wonderful day. On certain weekends there is also live entertainment.

The center of Surfers Paradise is 10/15 mins south from my home which is in Runaway Bay. I am surrounded by water. Great Restaurants, Shopping Centers and Tourist Attractions.

Surfers Paradise is the main Tourist spot with the best Beaches for Sunbathing Swimming, Surfing and the center of activity for Shops, Restaurants, Night Clubs and Hotels like the HIlton. Shopping in Surfers caters for Tourists of all nationalities and is very interesting.

For the Surfing enthusiast we have Kirra Beach 30 mins further south which is famous for it's Surfing Carnivals

For the discerning Tourist though Main Beach is only 10 mins south from my home. Main Beach has the Major Hotels like the Versace. and The Shereton Resort , Sea World, The Gold Coast Spit.

The Marina Mirage Shopping Mall though small, is the place for wonderful Restaurants, on the Boardwalk overlooking the Broadwater and it's fabulous Yatchs .

Many Tourist attractions depart from this area as this is also the gateway to see the Whales and other water Tourism attractions..

The Marina Mirage Shopping Center boasts the leading international and local brands for that special shopping experience. and that special place to have a coffee or The treat of our famous Chocolate spot.

Marina Mirage,Boutiques, Beaut,y Spa, Massage, Facials. All there.

A short drive west from my home to Mount Tambourine which gives you another totally different aspect of the Gold Coast. There you have the freshest mountain air, Views on the way up and down. Coffee shops, Restaurants with views, good food, and locally made Aussie Pies!!! Plus a weekend open air food and craft market on certain allocated weekends.
Tourist specialty shops, Craft shops, Art Galleries..Wine tasting wineries.,Some with their own restaurants. A very interesting area that deserves more than one trip of searching out your favourite spots, including The Hinterland Skywalk. A fascinating area.

50 mins Drive or 1 hour by train north to Brisbane for a City Day Out. A really pretty city with some very nice buildings and a ferry along the river costing very little and you get a good idea of where you are. Some nice Australian Pubs for lunch in Brisbane and then on the way home spend some time at our fabulous South Bank, See a live production at our Arts Center at South Bank. South bank is also good for lunch, coffee or just a pleasant walk sightseeing along the river, especially at night with the City lights as a backdrop.

There is so much t see and do on and from the Gold Coast ..

1 Hours drive to south to famous Byron Bay. A day trip North to Noosa Heads and Eumundi market. The Big Pineapple, Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. The Glass House Mountains, Stradbroke Island, etc. etc.

So that's why I live on the gold Coast. Love it . I hope someone will enjoy it as much as I do and offer me an exchange or Rental as I look forward to my overseas experiences as well.

This exchange or rental offers a wide variety of things to do being a tourist destination..

Because of the distance that Australia is from most parts of the world, coming to Australia takes time and effort so I am very flexible..

Some info about The Gold Coast for you.

The Gold Coast is a Sub Tropical area. We have Sunshine mostly all year. It does rain in the summer, though still warm weather. Summers are sometimes very hot, though usually just perfect, winters not too cold.

The house has reverse cycle air conditioning that for myself I use only sometimes for heating in the winter evenings.

My house is a comfortable home with good sized rooms, very open, well ventilated, and gets a sea breeze. I also have fans everywhere..

Floods in Queensland are possibly on the news. I am not in a flood zone area.

The Hiring of Cars, Boats, Caravans is easily available all year round..

Money exchanged readily in Money Exchangers and Banks.

Airport Shuttle Buses Door to Door to/from both Brisbane International and Gold Coast Domestic Airports.

Tipping is not obligatory in Australia except when you actually receive good service as in Restaurants, Valet Parking, or carrying your bags to your room.. Tipping on Airport buses is not usual.

I really am in a good place to see all of South East Queensland.

My name is Deanna. I am now a single senior. I love to travel and I am going amongst other places to Russia this year which has been one of my life long "want to see" dreams.

I would like to exchange to enhance my knowledge of people and places. I want also like to improve on my knowledge of Argentina and the rest of South America, as well as of course my nearly forgotten Italian needs relearning..

I have lived in Italy, Argentina, Singapore, and when single I worked in the U.S. for a French cosmetic company, mostly in New York. My son lives in L.A. so I am very happy to visit NY again and L.A anytime. My preferred spots in America are Venice Beach, Marina del Rey, and Santa Monica. Then Las Vegas and San Diego.

I am happy to always return to these areas for a minimum of 2 weeks. Other places because of the distance for both sides I think that other than Asia more time is needed because of the travel involved.

I am actually looking forward also to seeing places I haven't and having the opportunity to return to those I love with putting my home up for Exchange or Rental by negotiation..

Other than enjoying my wonderful sunny life here on the Gold Coast I need my exchange family to take over the watering of my plants when I am not here. That is really important to me.

I have a wonderful house cleaner that comes fortnightly. I would need for whoever exchanges to accept her fortnightly. As she lives only a few doors away I am sure if needed she would be happy to assist with more help if wanted.

As yet I have not been able to find someone to post photos of my house on this site as I don't know how to do it. I will of course provide these upon request if by then I do not have them posted.
