Nuestra casa
The master bedroom balcony overlooks the very private garden featuring a heated swimming pool with diving board and water slide. Relax on the flagstone patio beside the pool or barbeque on the outdoor grill while the children splash in the water; play on the child's climbing gym set equipped with a slide, rings and tire swing; play in the horseshoe pit which doubles as a sand box; or play croquet on the lawn. Or enjoy your morning coffee as you sit on the front porch swing and listen to the birds. Professional pool and lawn maintenance provided.
Our pool is completely enclosed for the safety of young children. Our grandchildren visit often so our home has a highchair and children's books and toys.
Our home exchange includes the use of our two cars. Hiking, camping, canoeing, golfing, and tennis equipment is available for your use plus three bicycles. We provide our home exchangers with a complete set of tourist documentation including numerous maps, a list of organized hikes, bike trails, canoe routes, suggested day trips, and antique shops. Our quiet, heavily treed neighbourhood is ideal for cycling or walking to enjoy the diverse architecture of the homes or the nearby park. A golf and tennis country club is 1 km (1/2 mile) from our home.
London is a city of 350, 000 people. It is the primary business, educational, medical, and cultural center of southwestern Ontario. Our home is only a 10 minute drive from London's extensive retail shopping outlets. London is known as the Forest City because of its numerous trees and extensive parks. Miles of bicycle trails and footpaths follow the Thames River as it meanders throughout the city. The colors, particularly in the fall, are magnificent.
London has several amusement parks for children of all ages. The city's largest children's amusement park, Storybook Gardens, is located 8 km (5 miles) from our home.
Stratford, which hosts its world famous Shakespeare Festival 6 months of every year is less than an hour's drive away. The Shaw Festival at Niagara-On-The Lake, though less well known, is of equal quality. We would gladly arrange theatre tickets in advance for your pleasure. In addition to the falls, Niagara has a casino and a Marine World.
London is located approximately 40 km (25 miles) north of Lake Erie and 60 km (36 miles) east of Lake Huron. The Great Lakes are the world's largest fresh water seas and have many uncrowded fine beaches. Point Pelee, perhaps North America's most important bird santuary, is only two hours away. Southwestern Ontario has many superb hiking trails including the 800 km (500 miles) Bruce Trail which provides some of the most beautiful scenery found anywhere in Canada. The Bruce Peninsula is also the home of the world's best fresh water diving.
London is a one hour drive from the US border and a two hour drive from Toronto and Niagara Falls. You may either fly directly into London or fly to Detroit or Toronto and take the convenient airport limousine to London.
Downhill resorts offering skiing/snow boarding are a three hour drive away. Skiing season is generally from early January until mid March. Occasionally London gets sufficient snow for sledding and crosscountry skiing in the city parks or snowmobiling in the nearby countryside. First time visitors to Canada may enjoy watching curling or seeing all the youngsters learning to play hockey.

Nuestras fechas
Anytime of the year is fine. We are retired and can be very flexible about dates and duration of the home exchange.
Abierto a cualquier fechaNuestros destinos
Anywhere, anytime, particularly Europe and Canada. Just make us an offer. Exchanges from two weeks to two months would interest us.
We are able to offer some non-simultaneous exchanges as we are often away visiting family. Furthermore as our home can easily accommodate additional people, a hospitality exchange is also possible.
