Nuestra casa
Our home is a 3 bedrooms town house in Arromanches-les-bains (one of the D-Day beaches town). We are located in the village center on the beach front. We have a beautiful sea side view from our living room and main bedroom. We have 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor and on the1st floor there is a small but all equipped kitchen with a little balcony, a cosy living room with a pull out sofa and a dinning room where 6 persons can properly enjoy a meal and if you want to be 8 or more it's possible but a lot tighter around the table!!We only have one bathroom with a shower and a washing machine/dryer that you can of course use, our toilets are separated from the bathroom(always nicer!!!). We have a little court where you can park 2 cars, we have table and chairs and a barbecue. We can lend you our car during simultaneous exchange but for non simultaneous we strongly advice car rental because the buses can be complicated!!
Nuestro barrio
We live in Arromanches-les-bains, it is one of the D-Day beaches town where the remains of the artificial harbor are(Gold beach). We are 30 minutes driving from the American cemetery and Omaha beach. We live 10 km from Bayeux a lovely medieval town with a gorgeous cathedral and the Bayeux Tapestry, Unesco "Memory of the World". We are located 3 hours from Paris and 2 hours from the Mont Saint Michel, Unesco World Heritage. There is many thing to see in Normandy you cannot be bored! In our village there is some nice restaurants but the shop are mainly souvenirs shops, there is a bakery, a little grocery store but if you want real shopping you have to drive to Bayeux or Caen(30km from our village)the closest city which is really nice to visit and shop in too!!!

My name is Sunilda, I am french and I am a D-Day beaches tour guide and my fiancé's name is Falk, he is german and he is a chef. We have a cat, Gnoki a lovely fur ball that will stay with my family during the exchange. We are getting married November,9th 2013 and we are dreaming of our honeymoon in the United States. We only need to find an exchange in the NYC area between the dec 20th to dec 26th and/or between jan 1st to jan 6th and our honeymoon trip will be complete and perfect. We understand that coming in Normandy in the winter might not be ideal so we can do non simultaneous exchange if prefered.
