Just minutes from the CBD and set amongst the vibrant cafe strip of Beaufort St, our house is a lovely low maintenance converted workers cottage on a leafy side street. As part of the exchange however, we also have a holiday home set amongst the farms and wineries of the famous Margaret River wine region. A 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house on a 5 acre secluded bush block is available to you during your stay at any time you like. Margaret River is about a 3 hour drive from our house in Highgate/Mt Lawley.

The exchange would suit a couple with young child - the additional bedroom is set up as a nursery.

Mt Lawley / Highgate is regarded as a vibrant, exciting suburb on the edge of the city. Cafes, cool new bars and restaurants are springing up frequently. On top of that, our home exchange should be right around the time of the exciting Beaufort Street Festival, which attracts thousands of people from all over Perth. Our street is leafy and full of community;
from old migrant families, to shared houses, to young families (like us) who work in the city, there is a wonderful mix.

If, during your stay, you would like to explore our wonderful winery region of Margaret River, there is a newly renovated holiday home on a 5 acre bush block at your disposal in Yallingup (part of the Margaret River wine region). We have completely renovated a timber framed 1940s cottage, you can enjoy a glass of wine next to the fireplace, with sheep and kangaroos as your neighbours! The beach is only 5 minutes away by car, and world class wineries and restaurants even closer.

The dates are locked in from 31 October until 16 November 2012.

We are hoping for an apartment on Manhattan Island for a young couple and a small baby (8 months) for November 2012. What we would really like to do is soak up New York for 2 weeks and have a great base from which to do so.

I am a lawyer, my wife is currently on maternity leave, looking after out 5 month old first child. We have a dog called Atticus Finch (a 2.5 yr old labrador) and a cat called Britney Spears (long story). Both pets will be looked after by others while we are away.
