Nuestra casa
Our townhome sits on lovely grounds surrounded by streams and ponds. We have a large master bedroom suite with tub and shower on the upper level, a lovely office with computer, a full bath, piano room, living room with gas fireplace, and a recently remodeled kitchen on the main level. Hardwood floors covered with oriental carpets throughout the house. French doors lead from the living room to a new deck with gas grill. The lower level consists of a large bedroom, a full bath, laundry room, and work out area, complete with benches, free weights and treadmill. Our homeowners association has a lovely swimming pool with a hot tub and three tennis courts, all of which are not frequented by many since many of the townhomes are owned by elderly people or people who have second homes elsewhere. A nearby park has a wonderful playground where we love to take our grandchildren and walk our ten-year old lab, Chloe.

Nuestro barrio
First time visitors to our home find it difficult to believe that we live in a busy city. Stoney Brook is an association of two hundred townhomes, all of which are on ground level, surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds. The property has streams and ponds, a lovely swimming pool and three recently resurfaced tennis courts. Grocery stores, shopping centers and movie theaters are close by. Interstate 25 travels through Denver and is a mere five blocks from our home. Lightrail is either a twenty minute walk or a five minute drive.

Sitting less than ten miles from downtown Denver and an hour from the Colorado Rockies, Denver is a city with much to offer. Cultural events are ongoing, concerts, museums and excellent restaurants abound. The closest ski area is less than an hour away and many others are situated further west along a major highway. Hiking, fishing and camping are enjoyed by many, making the ski areas attractive all year round. Shopping is excellent and traveling south takes you to Colorado Springs and into New Mexico which has a dinstinct culture of its own.

Nuestras fechas
Our dates vary from semester to semester since my husband is a university progessor. I am retired, so our travel times are dependent upon his schedule. He has most of the month of January off, spring break in March as well as the last two weeks of May. Long weekends are always a possibility.

My husband, Gary, and I, Ann, love to travel. I am a retired teacher and he is a research professor at the University of Colorado. Our two children are married but live in Denver, so we see our six grandchildren often. I am a published author whose book, Out Of Focus...Again: A Journey From Depression To Recovery Through Courage, Love and Commitment. I love to exercise and work out, play tennis and read. Walking our dog, Chloe, is something we both enjoy. The nearby park provides opportunity for this. We love going to the mountains, the theater and restaurants. We often travel within the United States and have been to China, Japan, Canada and Europe on many occasions.
