We have a recently remodeled 100 yr old home that provides a unique, open, light-filled, three-level home of character for 2-4 persons. The main level has a comfortable living room with 50" plasma TV, a sitting room, a fully equipped modern kitchen, a large dining area opening onto a terrace with large gas grill and table for 2, overlooking a lovely rear garden. The upper level has a bath/shower, separate WC room, a large two room master suite (formerly two bedrooms) with queen size bed, small sofa, flat screen TV, opening onto a larger terrace also overlooking rear garden. The lower level which opens directly into the garden has an office/family room or guest room with sofa-bed, high speed internet service with wifi, full bathroom with shower, and complete laundry room.

You may already know what a beautiful city San Francisco is. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet for a city home. We are within 3 blocks of Baker Beach for lovely sunset walks or for hikes through the Presidio woods with wonderful ocean vistas. Seacliff begins at the bottom of the block and leads up the hill west, a lovely walk with views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge, to the Palace of Legion of Honor art museum, or beyond to Lands End. Golden Gate Park is a mile south with art and science museums and beautiful vistas for hike or bike exploration. The Cliff House and Ocean Beach are a mile west, where surfers catch the waves. All types of restaurants (Asian, Italian, Indian, Peruvian and California cuisines), shops and coffee houses and several movie theaters are nearby. Nearby Lake Street has special lanes for bikes and joggers. A public playground with basketball and tennis courts is within a block of the house and two public golf courses are close. Marin county and Muir woods are north, just across the nearby Golden Gate Bridge.

A 30 minute bus ride or drive to downtown San Francisco brings one to the cable cars, theaters, museums, city hall, famous stores and restaurants, and Union Square for sunny people watching. An extensive farmer's market is open at the historic Ferry Building on weekends, Tuesday and Thursday, providing beautiful fresh organic fruits, vegetables, meats and poultry.

One can explore in any direction or sit quietly in the garden listening to music. It's a lovely peaceful neighborhood in one of the world's great cities.

We love and take good care of our home and will treat yours the same. We don't smoke and ask that you smoke on terraces only please. The house is not designed for small children, with many stairs, fine pottery and ceramics. It is ideal for one or two couples or a couple with children who can sleep either on an inflatable bed in the master suite or far away in the lower level.

Always interested in traveling to Boston or Manhattan, especially in the spring or fall.
