Our 4-room apartment is situated in Hellerup, just a few kilometers north of Copenhagen city center.

The view from the apartment is spectacular! The sea and a cosy, sandy beach is right outside our windows and you can see all the way to Sweden.

The 120 sqm apartment consists of a living/dining room, a bed room/study, two childrens bed room, a big eat in kitchen, a separat toilet and a bath room with tub.

The apartment is on the second floor and there is no lift.

We can accommodate five persons if two of them are small kids.

Fashionable Hellerup, the embassy area of Copenhagen, is located in the northern part of the city.

Hellerup is a perfect mixture of a quiet residential area and all the amenities of a city (all kinds of shops, public transportation, cafés, restaurants, museums etc. ).

Hellerup Yacht Marina, Hellerup Tennis Club and a nice playground is located 100 meters from our home - a short walk along the beach.

There are several possibilities for sightseeing in the vicinity of Hellerup. North of the city you'll find The Karen Blixen Museum, Louisiana Art Museum and Kronborg Castle, in which Shakespeare lets his drama Hamlet take place.
The possibilities in Copenhagen are countless: Tivoli Garden, The Little Mermaid, Christiania and the brand new opera house to mention a few.

Being situated beside the Sound also provides Hellerup with a natural sports arena for wind surfing, water-skiing and sailing.

Of special interest to kids - and their parents! - Hellerup has Denmark's one and only science centre, Experimentarium. It is a place where touching and using the exhibits are not only allowed but are positively encouraged. Highly recommended for kids of all ages.
And then there is the old Charlottenlund Fort, a naturel playground with old canons and ramparts. The fort has functioned as a fortress for the defense of Copenhagen Harbour.

Distances from our home:
Distance to shops and public transportation: 400 meters.
Distance to Copenhagen city center: 5 km.
Distance to airport: 10 km.
Distance to Hellerup train station: 1, 5 km.

The train station makes it very easy to get around: There you'll find trains directly to
- The airport (32 min)
- Sweden (Malmø: 50 min, Lund: 1H 12 min)
- Elsinore and Kronborg Castle (32 min)
- Copenhagen City and Tivoli (13 min)
- anywhere in Copenhagen with the subway (S-train)

You really won't need a car - it's much easier taking the train/subway/bus or bicycle.

We have bikes for adults and kids.

Summer 2013 - between June 28th and August 11th.

Generally: We are limited to Danish school holidays.

Apart from the religious holidays and summer holiday (July and the two first week of August), special school holidays are week 7 (in February) and week 42 (In October) every year.

Summer 2013:
This summer we need to go somewhere nearby, where we can bring our dog: Denmark, Sweden, Germany (north).

(In Danish: Vi er interesserede i at bytte til et sommerhus - måske på en dansk ø eller et andet dejligt sted i det danske ferieland - hvor vi kan have vores søde hundehvalp med:-))

Generally we're interested in countries such as France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Sweden, Danish islands, Iceland and many more.

Somewhere we can drive or fly to within 5 hours.

Garden, sea or pool are very welcome! So is a children-friendly environment.

We are Lotte, Kenneth and our daughters Olga, born in May 2004 and Asta, born in May 2006. New to the family in 2013 is our dog, Loulou.

Lotte is working in communications and Kenneth, a graduate engineer, is selfimployed in the media business.

We love travelling and are experienced travellers.

We're very responsible and will take good care of your home.
