  • Norbert - Attic Office: We have high-speed Internet, a small cable TV, and unlimited, free international phone calls. There is a tiny room reached by ladder; it has low head-room, but the space is bright and airy with several skylights.
  • Balcony View: Looking north at Place Monge and the Garde Republicaine building.
  • Balcony View: Looking south on rue Gracieuse.
  • Neighborhood Map: Our apartment is situated on rue Gracieuse about 30 meters south of Place Monge. It's a 5 minute stroll to the Jardin des Plantes and the Arènes de Lutece; a 12 minute walk to the Jardin du Luxembourg.
  • Place Monge market: The outdoor market is held on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday; a few steps from our front door.
  • Jardin des Plantes: Five-minute walk from apartment.
  • Left Bank and Pantheon: Photo taken from the BHV department store restaurant looking south towards our neighborhood. This is four metro stops or a 20-minute walk from Place Monge.
  • Notre Dame from Arab Institute: Photo taken from top of Arab Institute looking at the Seine and Notre Dame. It is a 10-15 minute walk from Place Monge.
  • Louvre: A 10-minute trip on the n° 7 metro line from Place Monge.

Nuestra casa

Bright and sunny two-bedroom 5th and top floor apartment on the Paris left bank. Our comfortable home has a balcony with a pretty view up and down rue Gracieuse. The two bedrooms face an inner courtyard. The one bathroom has a large tiled shower. There is no elevator. The apartment has 65 square meters.

Our apartment is centrally located in the 5th arrondissement near Place Monge. It is an easy stroll to the Jardin des Plantes, Jardin du Luxembourg, Seine, Pantheon, Sorbonne, the Latin Quarter, etc. You will find delightful shopping, including the outdoor markets at rue Mouffetard and Place Monge. There are bus and metro lines direct to the Louvre, Opera, Bois du Boulogne, etc.

Well-behaved children and pets are welcome. Sorry, smoking is not allowed in our apartment. We are very respectful of our exchange partners' homes and expect the same consideration. We are professionals and experienced home exchange partners. We are multi-nationals (American, French, and German) and have lived in Paris since 1998. Our 20-year old daughter is studying engineering at Centrale Paris.

We travel widely and have lived in San Francisco, Seattle, Hamburg, Montreal, Ann Arbor, Crete, and Lagos.
