Our house is right on the water. Look left from the large balcony off the master bedroom and you see open water and the out islands. Look right and there is the small local marina. In front is a pier that is frequented by sailboats and yachts. Across the little marina you can see the grocery store and two of the four restaurants within easy walking distance.

Down stares the modern kitchen is open to the dining and sitting area. The couch is long and can be used as a bed. There is also a bathroom with shower. Up stairs is the large master bedroom with its balcony. It has a king size bed. Two double width glass sliding doors give you an incredible view of the water and the village! A second smaller bedroom with twin beds and another bathroom are also up stairs. You will also find a back patio with table chairs and a gas BBQ.

Swim and sun in the crystal clear water right in front of the house or elsewhere along the shore. Snorkel, rent a boat, or take an excursion from the hotel to the national islands park of Kornati, or other islands. The historic city of Zadar is only a boat ride away. Explore the old, historic villages of Iz. Hike into the olive gardens. There are also many nature trails on the island. There are two out islands where clothing is optional and boat transportation is available. Our house may not be sutable for younger children.

The island of Iz is located off the historic city of Zadar, about midway down the Dalmatian cost, and can be reached by boat from Zadar daily. An auto ferry is also available. Mali Iz is the smaller of the two main villages, which are about two and a half kilometers apart. Our house is located here. A good road connects it with Veli Iz where there are several more restaurants, a hotel, and stores. Veli Iz is where most of our sailing and yachting tourists can be found, as there is a good size bay and a full service marina. The villages of Iz have a rich and colorful history dating back to the 6th century. Zadar has an airport and the roads and highways of Croatia are excellent.

We have lots of options as we have two houses on the island and can plan non simultaneous exchanges.

We are avaliable in the summer only for Europe. Other destinations including the USA we are avaliable year round.

We are Don and Zorka and the two of us are retired, in our early 60’s and we live in Southern California, U.S.A. In the summer we are on the island of Iz where Zorka was born. As we have two houses on Iz, we are very flexible. We can do simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchanges. We are interested in travel year round but the Iz house is available in the summer only. We speak English and Croatian. German, Italian and French are spoken by many of the natives. We are interested in travel in Europe in the summer and other locations year round.
