Nuestra casa
When you open the front door, your mouth will drop! The house sits above Puget Sound, and overlooks the water, the islands, and the Olympic mountain range. Sit on the deck and enjoy the passing sailboats, ferries, wind surfers, kayaks and the sunsets, and if you are lucky, a pod of Orcas. The Northwest is a wonderful place to visit, summer or winter. There is hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, shopping, museums, great restaurants, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker. British Columbia, Canada is just 2 1/2 hours north (visit the site of the 2010 winter Olympics). Portland, Oregon just 2 1/2 hours south where you can visit the best Pinot Noir wineries in the country, Woodinville for a full day or more of wine tasting is just 40 minutes northeast, and the beautiful San Juan Islands just a ferry ride away. But you will probably not want to leave the greater Seattle area because there is so much to do right here. The house has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds and view, and each with bathroom. Prefer no small children because of the height of the decks. Older children OK if they could sleep in one bed. There is beach access.

Nuestro barrio
Three Tree Point is a quiet, waterfront neighborhood. People who move here, stay here. We have close friends in the neighborhood who are eager to meet our home exchange partners, whoever they might be. We give each other alerts when we see eagles ("eagle alert"), whales ("whale spotted to the south") or a particularly spectacular sunset. A short walk down the hill and you will find yourself facing south, with Mount Rainier (at 14,000 plus feet high) in view across the southern Sound. Walk up the hill to the north, and find quaint "Old Burien", with shops, restaurants, a pub/brewhouse, and on Thursdays in the summer an outdoor market with fresh vegetables, crafts, fruits and flowers. Stroll the "Indian Trail" below the house just above the beach, or walk the beach collecting beach glass and shells.

Otras informaciones
We have done three very successful exchanges so far; one month in San Remo, Italy, a month in Maui, and another 3 weeks in Oahu, Hawaii. We hope to be able to do a lot of traveling from now on, and love the idea of locating in one place and really getting to know a specific area. We think our place is so amazing and spectacular that we may have repeat exchanges with the same people in the future. We are interested in Hawaii, New Mexico, and other places we may not have thought of yet!

Nuestras fechas
Dates are pretty open at this point. Christmas is usually spent with family in California; other than that, sun and warmth in the winter would be plus, as we no longer ski!

We are open to any destination and currently any dates, since we are (maybe temporarily) retired. Tempt us!
Update: Currently looking for an exchange in the Balboa/Newport CAL.area or Sun River, Oregon, or Sun Valley, Idaho, or Lake Tahoe or Hawaii for Christmas holidays any year.

Nosotros
Linda is a retired school psychologist who loves to travel, and wine is a passion. We have organized 2 wine-tasting bus trips to eastern Washington (the 2nd largest wine producing State in the country). Woodinville, a town of many wineries, lies about 15 miles east of Seattle. Several years ago I organized a barge trip through the canals of Burgundy for 12 friends (in two "u-drive" barges). Our first home exchange experience was in San Remo, Italy, and it was a great success. Last year we exchanged with a couple in Maui for a month, another huge success. I am looking forward to more adventures like that! What a great way to see the world close up.
