This 1st floor one bedroom apartment is cosy and tastefully decorated. It is small but well proportioned. It has a good sized double bedroom, bathroom/shower, fully fitted kitchen and lounge with a very large sofa! All rooms are fully eqipped with everything you will need. There is also internet access, a television with cable and a fully stocked bookshelf containing an assortment of books, videos and DVD's for rainy days. This flat is ideal for a single traveller or couple although upto 4 people could share if two guests were to use the lounge. A double air matress is also available on request please note however, for a comfortable stay i would recommend a maximum of two adults, or two adults and a child, as there is only one bathroom and the flat is quite modest in size.

This apartment is located in Newham, East London, home of the 2012 Olympic games, West Ham Football ground and some of the finest pubs and fish and chips you are ever likely to eat! I am about a 10min bus journey/25min walk to Stratford city center- newly fabulous for the Olympics and contains Westfields, the largest shopping/dinning centre in Europe! Containing everything from designer labels to high street fashion, complete with champagne bars or pubs...whichever you fancy...It's really a must do if you love to shop, eat or be entertained!
Canary Wharf and the O2 centre (previously millennium dome) are five minutes away on the london underground and all that before you even reach central London which is about 15 mins away. Canary Wharf and the docklands is very hip and brick lane more bohemian. The wharf has beautiful modern architecture,Shopping malls, cinemas, theatre and fantastic restaurants overlooking the river. Brick lane is a multicultural feast full of indian retuaurants, vintage clothing shops, markets and trendy cafes and bars. And as for central London... well there is Theatreland, China town, little Italy, and the fabulous trafalgar square amongst a thousand other attractions that i am more than happy to fill you in on. And if you ever get bored of London: Birmingham, Wales, ireland Scotland, and Paris are all within easy reach (anything from 1 hour to 9hrs travel)The apartment itself is located on a quiet residential road although a two minute walk will bring you to a host of supermarkets, health centres, banks, bakeries,restaurants, cafes, churches and shops. Transport is excellent although i may grudgingly throw my car into the exchange for trips further a field. This is the perfect location to experience both central london and the historical, multi-cultural East-End..

I am a single woman of African heritage sometimes travelling alone and because of this I would like to be in areas that are not only safe but treat women and people of all racial backgrounds with equal respect.

I am usually open to any destination, but am particularly attracted to vibrant cities or sunny destinations near the beach. I'm also partial to areas that have lots of Theatre and arts activity..

I am a 31 year old Actress/Theatre director and playwright. I am a single occupant but may want to bring my sister, brother or friend on some exchanges. In addition to my professional work i also run a non profit organisation teaching Theatre and performance to young disadvantaged people throughout the country. As a freelance artist i can be flexible with dates and can also offer non-simultaneous exchanges as i have a seperate accommodation that i am happy to stay in, although this is my primary place of residence. I have had around 10 successful exchanges already and am keen to make some more.
