Nuestra casa
Our house is located in a very nice area of Victoria, on a quiet street, one block from the ocean. The house has 3 bedrooms plus a fold-out bed in the family room, so it sleeps 8. There is a large gourmet kitchen with a sitting room beside it, dining room with french doors opening onto a deck, living room, a large family room, and 3 bathrooms. The house was recently renovated, is very comfortable, and nicely furnished. We have a lovely landscaped garden,and a park is directly beside the house with a playground and playing field.
Nuestro barrio
We live in Victoria, in British Columbia, Canada. This is located on the west coast of Canada, at the southern tip of Vancouver Island (the large island at the western edge of Canada). Victoria is considered one of the nicest places in Canada, as it is on the Pacific Ocean, and the climate is very mild (not too hot in summers and rarely below freezing in winter). Victoria is close to Vancouver, Whistler, Seattle, and the Gulf Islands, and communities on Vancouver Island such as Campbell River and Tofino, which are famous for whale-watching, salmon fishing, and surfing (wet-suit required).

Our family is made up of myself, Tricia, my husband Brian, and our daughters, who are 17 and 19 years old. Brian and I are managers in the provincial government, and have had the same employer for 20 years. We have lived in our house for 20 years, and we have good relationships with all our neighbours, and know the community well.
