Our country home is set in the beautiful, lush, rural countryside of Cambewarra about two hours drive south of Sydney in the pristine Shoalhaven ...a place of gorgeous beaches, green farmland and great open blue skies.
Be prepared to see curious dairy cattle peering at you through the fence. Noisy Mynahs, Galahs, Rosellas and Magpies carol their birdcalls at various times through the day.
Views of magnificent stands of Turpentines and Maculata Gum trees are framed through many windows and the north-easterly aspect ensures your days are sun-drenched and light-filled, especially in the Solarium, Kitchen and Family rooms.
The Grand Piano is the major feature of our Music/Lounge Room and music always fills our home.
We are looking for exchanges in 2014, preferably from September through to November.
This is the beautiful Spring time and is a delightful time to be in the Shoalhaven, with weather that can draw everyone to beach and seaside activities or to walks in the countryside and up on the hinterland.
Of course, if you'd like a short visit to Sydney for a dose of city life...it's only 2 1/2 hours north.

The Shoalhaven area of NSW contains pristine beaches (the whitest sands in the world), forests and national and marine parks. Jervis Bay provides opprtunities for dolphin and whale watching. There you can also enjoy many water sports.

Cambewarra is situated in lush dairy farming country with a backdrop of coastal ranges.

We are a ten minute drive from Berry, a historical Victorian town, full of cafes, antique and craft shops.
Nowra, the main service town for The Shoalhaven, seven minutes away, provides for plenty of shopping opportunities in all the major retail outlets.

Australia's National Capital, Canberra, (two and a half hours drive) and Sydney (two hours drive/ train trip)provide many world-class art exhibitions and other cultural experiences including the iconic Sydney Opera House.

We would like to avoid local holiday times, when many cultural events are in recess.

Because of our love of music, art and architecture, gardens and the arts in general, we want to be able to explore the many opportunities that older, more historic cultures have to offer.

We are both retired school teachers. Roy taught High School Science and Agriculture and Ona taught Primary School and Music.

We both love classical music, especially opera. We are members of the Shoalhaven Lydian Singers (a community choir), Music Shoalhaven and The Bay and Basin Music Club. Roy plays piano and Ona is a lyric soprano soloist. We enjoy having concerts in our home.

Because we love music, art and architecture, gardens and history we are keen to visit Europe again.

We have had two house exchanges in Austria and three in Germany and have absolutely loved them. We have also had the opportunity to share our home on a hospitality basis, which was great fun, too.

We are also deeply involved in our church in Berry.
