Nuestra casa
It is a ranch-style house built in the 1950. This is a very nice, friendly and safe neighborhood in the hills of Sherman Oaks, right below Mulholland Drive. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, and surrounded by green and trees. There is a covered patio in the back, and another outdoor dining area with table and chairs in the front. In the summer, we spend all our time outdoors. Two basketball hoops, a ping pong table, and enough space to play outdoor games. Our house is perfect for a family, as we have a big yard, BBQ, two kids' rooms, and an extra guest/TV/family room. We are a non-smoking family.

Nuestro barrio
From our street you have views of the San Fernando Valley. It is very quiet and feels almost rural. We are minutes from Bel Air, close to Beverly Hills (15 minutes), freeways (10 minutes), beautiful beaches (35 minutes), shopping. You will need a car, as the house is in a residential area, and everything in LA involves driving. The next grocery store is 10-minutes down the hill on Ventura Boulevard, which is the most upscale boulevard in the San Fernando Valley. There is also a fashion mall, many great restaurants end everything else you need. We are close to the 405 and 101 freeways, so it is really fast and easy to get anywhere. Although on the valley side, we usually have a breeze, which keeps it cooler in the summer. There are great hiking trails about 15 minutes from here, where you can go for long wilderness hikes (Santa Monica Mountains).

In the summer of 2013 we would like to exchange with with Canada (BC) or Northwest USA. Also interested in South America. We are always looking for short-term exchanges within California, especially with Palm Spring, San Francisco or the Northern coast during the California school vacation.

We are a German family of four, living in Los Angeles for over 10 years. Dad works as a TV producer, and mom is in the tourism industry. Our kids Julia (15) and Nicolas (13) are used to traveling, as we try to spend every summer in Europe. We are neat and clean and will treat your home as ours.
