Nuestra casa
The home is a catalan Masia from the XVIII century. Four years ago we remodelled the kitchen, bathrooms etc. This is where we live during the whole year.
There is computer and limited Internet access in the house.
There are all other facilities: hot water, washing machine, ...)

We have 3 dogs (german Sheppard, pointer and a tiny one), who are very friendly and used to children. You only have to feed them once per week

Nuestro barrio
Our house (Masia) is located 1km from Argensola town, a small town near Cervera, Igualada and Santa Coloma de Queralt. We only have one direct neighbors, a retired couple. The countryside is typical from the rainfed Mediterranean climate, with about 600mm precipitation per year, lots of pine and oak forests and wheat fields. In July is quite hot, getting about 30ºC at midday. We are at about 700m altitude. You can find supermarkets and everything you need in one of the three towns
We are located strategically:
1 hour driving from Tarragona (we usually go to Altafulla, a familiar quite beach)
1,5 h from the Pyrenees. Andorra is about 2h driving
1 hour from Barcelona and 1 hour from lleida

We want to spend End of June to beginning of August 2009 in UK (4 weeks). We would like a summer camp near by to register our daughters during July
We also need internet access in the house you keep up with our job duties (nothing is perfect)

Nosotros
Astrid (42) and myself (40) are free lance professionals. Astrid is a consultant for the medicinal plant industry and I run a small company that distributes scientific instrumentation for soil, agronomy and biology researchers (www.lab-ferrer.com) . We love travelling and having people at home. Astrid speaks French, English and dutch and I speak English. Our home language is catalan. We love ourdoors activities such as hiking, cross country skiing, basketball and cycling. We also love cooking and good wine and bear. We have three daughters, 12, 9 and 6. Last year for vacations, we took our van and spend two weeks in Sardegna.
