Access directly into the appartment by private elevator activated by a personal key to the 4th & last floor of a small building located in UCCLE, richest area in Brussels city. This means that the elevator's door on the 4th floor is my apartment door. You will land in the middle of my 500 square feet living room!
Although the building is very safe, you may wish locking that door (which has its own lock!), once you leave the apartment. A metal security door in my apartment gives access to the stairs in the building (in case of emergency).

Surrounded by large windows, the apartment is full of light. Friends call it "the anti-depression apartment".

Biggest room of the appartment is 50 square meters divided in 3:

- kitchen fully equiped, from professional cooking knives, grill, microwawe...until finest balsamic vinagers (out of truffle, abricot juice, ginger, cacao!)..washing machine, dishwasher, laundry dryer...

- living room with TV BANG & OLUFSEN (50 channels) connected with BANG & OLUFSEN Beolink HI-FI , DVD player
- dining space with table to be enlarged for up to 6 persons

Also,

The sun goes to sleep on terrace's dining table every night...

Office with instant superfast internet access (SSD & VDSL2),Wi-Fi, SKYPE, scanner, printer, lots of traveller guide-books, black & white photo books, my own b&w artwork...

- master bedroom with two 22 cm thick mattresses, dressing & make-up table as well as flat screen TV (50 channels, recently installed)
- second bedroom with twin beds (one lays under the other)

I also have a large underground garage space.

You'll stay in a very quite apartment house close to everything: CARREFOUR supermarket at 100 meters, bus in front of the house where you also find a bookshop, flower shop, hairdresser and baker with fresh croissants to eat on the terrace in the morning...Numerous shops inclusive finest gourmet shops (wines, cheeses, fruit & vegetables, italian & french traiteur, olive oïl specialist...) at 3 minutes walking distance.

It takes you 15 minutes by bus (number 48 or 54)) or tram-metro (51, down the street) to the city center.
There is a public rental bicycle station opposite CARREFOUR supermarket around the corner (full info at www.villo.be). Another one at 200 meters. I bike to the city in 10 minutes (Louise area) or 15 minutes to Downtown.

The district of Uccle belongs to the greenest & most elegant districts of Brussels. Parcs around as well as tennis courts next door (clay). Golf country Club 20 minutes by car. Uccle is very safe and welcomes many embassies.

BRUSSELS and Belgium in general are know for:

- 600 different beers
- the most famous chocolate
- the MAGRITTE museum (opened june 2009)
- the world capital of DIAMONDS is in Antwerpen (45 minutes by train)
- the twin sister of VENICE is in Brugge (45 minutes by train)
- plenty "Art Nouveau" houses
- strip cartoons (remember Tintin by Hergé)


Since BRUSSELS is the heart of EUROPE, you may wish to spend 1-2 days around the corner:

PARIS: 1 hour 25 by fast train (TGV)

LONDON : 1 hour 50 by fast train

AMSTERDAM : 2 hour 25 by normal train

LUXEMBURG : 2.5 hours by normal train
