We moved back to Lancashire,England from Scotland in June 2010 after living and working there for 20 years.

We have been to Australia on 13 consecutive occasions to visit our son and his family.On 5 occasions we have exchanged homes.

We spent a very happy 3 months exchange in Gosford,NSW in early 2012..
We are returning there in December 2013 for 3 months.

We have 2 large bedrooms situated upstairs plus a shower room.
Downstairs has a lounge,dining room,study,bathroom and kitchen.Off the dining room is a large conservatory which leads out to the rear garden.(see photographs)
In the study is situated a Windows 7 desktop pc coupled up to Wi-Fi, operating on a superfast fibre-optic broadband connection of 38 mbps download and 1.88 mbps upload speeds.

We live in a very quiet residential area where most of the properties are bungalows.(see photographs for definition of 'bungalow)'.The neighbours are very nice and friendly and mainly "seniors".

Our house is roughly 1.5 miles from the sea.The nearest being Cleveleys which is a typical Lancashire seaside town approx. 4 miles north of Blackpool 'the Las Vegas of the North' where you go if you want entertainment 24/7.

The whole of the Fylde coast is very flat with no hills so getting about is no problem.
Regular bus routes locally with links nationally are a feature of this area.

We are close to the motorway network,the Lake District,the big cities of Manchester and Liverpool and we have links via local ferry and low cost air flights from Blackpool airport to the Isle of Man and Ireland as well as some European cities.

Centrally situated to visit the Yorkshire Dales and beyond,Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow are approx.3.5 hours by road)and south to London (approx.4 hours by road).
We are on a main rail line branch where there are regular trains to the rest of the UK via Preston which is on the main west coast rail network.

We are centrally situated in North West England near the sea with good motorway links, train and bus routes.

We are serviced by two international airports,one at Manchester (1 hour by car or train) and one at Liverpool (1.5 hours) away by car.
Manchester has direct flights via Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Australia.

From both airports you can get budget flights to other parts of the UK and Europe.Blackpool Airport does a small amount of international flights to Spain and Prague plus short haul flights to Ireland and the Isle of Man.

We are very house proud, and will take great care of your home as we do our my own, and would expect the same in return.

We would not consider exchanging in the UK Summer months i.e.June,July and August due to gardening commitments,but are open to all other offers.

We are Stephen and Shirley,both now retired from a lifetime career in local government service.

We have two grown up children with families of their own.Our daughter lives in Wales and our son lives in Epping north of Sydney,NSW.

Stephen enjoys playing golf whilst Shirley is a very keen gardener,attends the nearby leisure centre and we both enjoy walking and riding our bikes.
