The apartment is splendidly located in the historic centre of Florence, close to all most important attractions: museums and galleries, churches, historic palaces, restaurants, shopping and night life. The street is Costa San Giorgio, known in Florence to be a very select street to live in. The apartment is two minutes walking from Ponte Vecchio and five from the Uffizi Gallery. The view from the windows is stunning: it is possible to see the Tower of Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Croce and the roof of Florence. The sensation is that you can just touch the city!
The apartment is 60 squared meters and composed of: one double bedroom, one bathroom with shower and bathtub, kitchen, studio and living room with a sofa-bed (for two extra people). In addiction the house is provided with washing machine and dish-washer, 48" TV set, Cable TV (films can be switchhed to original language), heating, air conditioned.
Weekly cleaning is included during long exchanges.

The neighbourhood is very quite and green. In front of the apartment you'll find the house of Galileo, next to it there is Giardino Bardini. Forte Belvedere with Giardino di Boboli and Palazzo Pitti are just two minutes walking. There are a minimarket, a grocery and a pharmacy along the street.
The train station is fifteen minutes walking or five minutes by taxi, the airport of Florence is thirhty minutes driving and there is a shuttle-bus from the main train station.

We are Giordano -39 years old- and Serena -34 years old. Serena is a writer and a researcher in Italian Language and Literature, and Giordano is a software engineer and works in a small company in Florence. Recently we adopted an adorable kitten, Nora, that will remain home during the exchange (but please don't panic, if you don't like cats, we'll find an accomodation for her too, anyway :-).
