We live in a very friendly community just South of the Thames which is well known for its parks, art gallery, restuarants, street market and village atmosphere - this is one of the few remaining villages within London and provides a great mix of easy access to all that the Capital has to offer combined with a degree of relaxation and friendly living. This is a Victorian house on three levels which has been refurbished to make a very comfortable home - we have a small balcony on the upper floor bedroom (which also has one en-suit), four bedrooms (one en-suit) and a family bathroom on the middle floor and two living rooms and a large kitchen/diner on the ground floor. There is a nice outside patio area where we have BBQ's and an aqua marine wall curved around a secluded dining area. We have great neighbours and literally around the corner there are lovely bakeries, cafes and everything from a butchers shop to a cheese store!

Our home is in one of London's few remaining villages, which mean you feel the comfort of green spaces and a village atmosphere whilst also being in the heart of the capital. This is a popular place to live and with all the restuarants, local pubs and historic sites it is easy to see why. It is easy to travel in to all of the main sites in London, from the theatres to the galleries and famous landmarks. London was invigorated by the excitement of the 2012 Olympics and the festivities surrounding the Queen's Jubilee. There is just so much to see and do here, including the street markets, the South Bank and countless wonderful walks and tours.

We are flexible from July 28th through to september 5th and in addition we would consider a shorter break in America earlier in the year.

We would love to be in California - ideally in either San Diego or San Luis Obispo or around those areas. There is also the possibility of us taking a shorter break earlier in the year and again, we would like to be in California if possible.

I'm a producer at the BBC in London and Richard works in the health service. We have three children, aged 16 through to 12 and last summer they completed the junior lifeguard course at Cayucos beach in California - we stayed in San Luis Obispo and loved the atmosphere in this relaxed American city. We are keen to return to the West Coast of America next summer if possible and would love to be either in or around San Diego or further up the coast near SLO and Cayucos. We have a dog but have already made arrangements for it to be gone for the summer. Our cleaner comes on a weekly basis (she will be paid to come whilst we are away unless this is an inconvenience)
