It almost sounds unreal, the magic word; “The Palm Jumeirah, the 8th Wonder of the World”, but it’s not.
This wonderful apartment is located on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. Our spacious apartment on the eight floor it has one bedroom, a lounge and a spacious balcony all with ‘the View’ which scans across the Palm Fronds, the Crescent, Signature Island, the Burj al Arab Hotel, Dubai City and the beach side palaces. The apartment is fully air conditioned.
The living room, lounge and the dining room is combined with an opened space and gives the room an airy feeling with lots of light and space. TV and DVD is included.
In the kitchen you find everything you can possibly ask for and even more. The kitchen includes all staple commodities that you need and you find a 6 burner cooker, a double oven, a washing machine with dryer, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer with ice machine and a dishwasher.
The bedroom is all light and enjoyable. It includes a traditional for post double bed in the typical Arabian style. Wake up to the View! Including the two sofa beds in the Living Room, there is six beds.
You find one bath room and one guest toilette in the apartment. The community pool is unbelievable luxury and a must when the temperature in the air excide 30 degrees Celsius in the shadow. On the pool area you find outside showers, sun beds, a beach bar and of course big parasols.

Jumeirah is the 'trendy' part of Dubai, with great shops and nightlife and handy to everything.The Shoreline Apartmnent is very close to shops and facilities. Very safe and friendly. Beach directly in front of apartment, including safe swimming, running and cycle track.Taxis freely available (and cheap).

Dubai Snippets:

Leave the Palm turn right and the next hotel is the Royal Mirage - try the Arabian Courtyard for a Shisha or just the atmosphere Take the lift to the Rooftop Bar then down to Ninas and so on and so on.

Leave the Palm turn left and the next Hotel is the Madinat - try any one of the 30 restaurants, visit the Souk or try the theatre.

Vegetarians must search out the Vegetarian restaurant near the fitness centre in the Madinat. If you are not a vegetarian go as well.

Try a night time dinner Dhow trip on the Creek, take a Desert tour with dune bashing for the intrepid, go to the Wild Wadi water park and ride the Jumeirah Scarer (cross your legs and clench), arrange a visit to the Burj al Arab (expensive but…) for tea or breakfast, try a helicopter ride over the Palm….We could go on for ever but it may be that what you need is just a few days on the beach so do that and book for next year.

What about golf - try prearranging rounds on the internet.

Other Emirates – perhaps a trip to look at Abu Dhabi or the Mussandam (a mountainous area to the north).

We are non smokers so we prefer that you enjoy the cigar out there in the restaurant. We do not have any pets either, due to the respect of people who suffer from allergy.

Non-simultaneous exchange is possible due to the fact that the Dubai apartment is our second home. And please don’t hesitate to contact us if you like our house. If we can’t do an exchange, we can let you rent the apartment.

We are a happy German family of four who love to travel and explore the world. Ursula and Bernhard, both around 45 years, are married and have two lovely and well behaved children. We love the ocean and the beaches although no don't reject offers in cities. We have lots of experience visiting other countries and we are serious, fun and easy to like. We look forward to give you the possibility to enjoy our apartment in Dubai, and in the same time get to know you and your house, and maybe even get some new friends on the way.
Ursula is a teacher and Bernhard works as manager in the automobile industry.
We love Dubai and have lots of tips for anyone who wants to discover the city. We have never home exchanged previously but are keen to start travelling in what seems to be a very flexible way. We expect that homeexchange members are very nice guests that care of our home in a good way.
